MONTECARLOS BOURBON WASHED

El Salvador

COFFEE HUNTERS STORY

Cultivated at an elevation of 1,750m, the Grand Cru plot within Motecarlos Estate extends over the slope of single volcano cinder cone making “Montecarlos Estate Bourbon” stand out as glorious, high quality coffee. This high-quality Bourbon cultivar can be produced not only due to the estate’ s ideal natural environment but also the outstanding processing technique maintained by the Batres family for over a century. El Salvador is historically known for raising mainly Bourbon cultivar coffee. While other coffee producing countries decided to replace Bourbon with other dwarf varieties that are resistant to disease and pests, El Salvador stubbornly continued to cultivate Bourbon as it was suitable to the country’ s environment and they respected its quality. Carlos, a descendant of a coffee-producing family which continues for over a century, naturally produces Bourbon cultivar. Adhering to a traditional pruning technique inherited from generation to generation, he continues to produce the best Bourbon coffee.
