COFFEE HUNTERS STORY

The “Grand Cru Café” standard meets the most rigorous quality criteria through its entire production process from the cultivation, harvesting, processing, drying, sorting, transport, storage on to, roasting then packaging. Without question, it is impossible to create Grand Cru Café without the full understanding and commitment of the coffee producers. For Kawashima, the Sharp brothers were the only people who could count for the resurrection of the truly delicious Blue Mountain coffee as like the 1980s in Jamaica. It began with the search for a high-quality plot, then cultivated, harvested and processed according to the Grand Cru Café standards. By caring for every last detail, the Sharp Brothers and Kawashima created the authentic “Caribbean Gem” .

2020

The extremely juicy and brilliant acidity, resembling pineapples and oranges, mesmerizes the palate. The glossy and delicate mouth- feel yields a complex ensemble of flavors with a lingering afternote.

2019

A strong, umami-like aroma, instantly changes the expression into a gentle, fruity aroma like plums and tangerines. The round mouthfeel with an aftertaste of lingering darkness provides a strong finish.

2018

The flavor of brown sugar and black sesame leaves a date-like aftertaste. Overflowing umami and a bold sweetness creates a feeling of happiness like finding an oasis in the desert.

2017

A delicate sweetness with thick, caramel aroma. Smooth, buttery texture and full body followed by the lingering aroma of walnuts, milk chocolate and sweetness.

2016

Flavor of sweet nuts with a nuance of gin. Within the thick texture, there is the intricate taste of herbal accents. The aftertaste is pleasantly clear.

2015

Flavor of sweet macadamia nuts. Gentle, refreshing acidity gives a clear impression that continues to the aftertaste. An outstandingly balanced coffee with a strong body and ultimate sweetness.

2014

The texture of brown sugar and peanuts cream. It has a caramel-like aroma with nuance of herbs.

An aroma of baked cakes and nuts. Sweetness and body resembling sweet potato and a lingering aftertaste.
