COFFEE HUNTERS STORY

Ivan Thomas Rebolledo, the owner of Bellavista Farm, was engaged in sugarcane production until his retirement in 2000, when he purchased the land to start a coffee farm with his wife, Alma. The theme of the farm is to cultivate coffee while protecting the surrounding ecosystems blessed by the natural environment. Within 44 hectares of coffee farm, 7 hectares of intact forest has been preserved to conduct biodiversity research with the University of Popayán. Recognizing the couple’ s efforts to protect the natural environment and ensure good working conditions, Bellavista Farm was certified by Rainforest Alliance (RA), an international NGO established to protect the rainforest and to support sustainable agriculture.

This coffee features a smooth mouthfeel like honey. The refreshing and pleasant acidity resembling mandarin orange quietly appears before melting into a dark ocean of caramel. A hint of rice gelato, herbs and sesame seed flavors are assembled like a cup of desserts.

2019

It has a flickering scent and a rich sweetness like honey. Overflowing with juiciness yet possessing the delicate acidity of navel orange. The toasty nuance of cacao and brown sugar comes on top yielding a soft and rich sensation.

2018

It has a milk-chocolate aroma with a rich, honey flavor and a light, lemon-like acidity. The coffee reveals an aroma like white wine with the characteristics of tropical fruits as it gradually cools A lively tone can be enjoyed from beginning to end, almost as if viewing a dazzling beauty.

2017

Flavor of navel orange and guava intricately turns into an aftertaste of caramel, honey-milk and chocolate. Impressive texture and condensed aroma of glutinous starch syrup.

2016

Exquisite balance of milk chocolate flavor and gentle acidity just like an orange. Thick sweetness extends on the tongue with smooth, translucent aftertaste.

2015

Acidity with silky texture and sweetness resembling citrus and tropical fruits. Just one sip, and a thick flavor resembling a chocolate cake with orange sauce extends on the mouth.

2014

Sweetness and flavor of milk chocolate. Acidity wrapped by the sweetness feels like a mandarin orange. Smooth mouthfeel like cocoa with lingering note.

2013

Juicy and intricate flavor with a hint of orange. Sweet aroma of chocolate. Pleasant acidity includes a slight sweetness with a smooth mouthfeel.

2012

Flavor of vanilla and grape. Sweetness of peach and nuts and delicate but ringing acidity is well balanced with a strong body. Impressive aftertaste of intricate mildness.

2010

Flavor of cumquat and apricot. Acidity and sweetness extend on the mouth at the same time adding complexity with a strong body. Sweet aftertaste of brown sugar lingers on the mouth.
